Return to Social Network Maps

The Lorain County Leadership social network map is based upon submissions of relationships by fifty-eight of the participants at the 7th Annual Lorain County Community Alliance Summit, September 20, 2006 at Lorain County Community College. More about the Community Alliance here.

Each of the nodes is the name of someone who filled out a form or whose name was listed on a form. The colors of the nodes relate to the zip code that was given by the submitter, not necessarily that of name submitted.

In the Lorain Community Summit social network map notice that there are several areas of dense linkages and that there are few unconnected clusters both of which are good indicators of a connected community. On an individual basis, there are some persons who are leading the group in several of the mapping metrics including Betty Blair, Jim Cordes, Michael Challender, Ken Carney, and Frank DeTillio.

To improve networks as indicated on the map, those who appear on the map should identify ways that they can collaborate or share ideas with those persons already on the map. People on the map should also think of ways and move forward with linking others within and outside of the map.
