Our innovation zone would look like...

Build on Midtown Wednesdays and Midtown Mornings and develop more quality connected spaces for Midtown, ie., an open computer lab, meeting space in coffee shops; collaborations between Cleveland State University, Myers University and Case; safe, common spaces; Innovation Cafes; Hot spots; small size building by building network

 

Strategic Collaborations: Describe at least three strategic partners that can collaborate to accomplish the zone

1) State library of Ohio

2) Myers University

3) Phoenix coffee

 

ALIGN: Our Innovation Zone: Midtown Innovation Zone

 

In the next 6 months: What: Write and submit grant proposals Who: Rich Brhel & Myers Development Office

In the next 3 months: What: Identify funding partner for matching portion of grant Who: Myers Development Office

In the next 30 days: What: Discuss with Myers Administration and Midtown partners Who: Myers Administration and Midtown partners

Related to education

 

Strategic Collaborations: Describe at least three strategic partners that can collaborate to accomplish the zone

1) Create a directory; with real estate and retail

2) Business collaboration with CDC's, schools and administration

3) Libraries, top level city officials to make decisions

4) Like tracking Honda

 

Group Three: Barb Ewing, Glenn Odenbrett, Karla Kroedel, Pat Veisz

Our innovation zone would look like...

Would link civic engagement with environmental action; would provide support services for students, service learning pathways; nonporfits would get work done by interns; University collaborative to do services and research on environmental issues

 

Strategic Collaborations: Describe at least three strategic partners that can collaborate to accomplish the zone

1) Hiram College, Ursuline College, lakeland Community College, Case, University of Akron, Kent State University

2) Watershed organizations

3) Government organizations

4) metro Parks

5) Soil and Water Conservation District, Business Green Zones

Our innovation zone would look like...physically rooted zone with a core; networked to the nation and to the world; compelling reasons to visit and go there - there is an attraction; convenience and accessibility; access to technology

 

Strategic Collaborations: Describe at least three strategic partners that can collaborate to accomplish the zone

1) Universities, libraries, museums, cultural institutions

2) Other resource holders (brainpower, energy, mooney, insight and intellectual)

3) Government and social services, nonprofit

4) People with needs
